To 40 galls. spirit.a, add :

5 do. good Bourbon whiskey, 2 oz. spirit.a of nitre,

2 oz. fusil oil (from com),cut in 1 qt. alcohol.

Stand 4 days.

FoRHULA No. 14.-0herry Brandy.

To 40 galls. p. or n. spirit.a, add : 40 qt.a. wild black cherries.

These cherries should be mashed before being add– ed to the spirit.a ; stand 3 days. Strain the same, and add:

6 lbs. loaf sugar, 5 galls. of water.

ForurnLA No. 15.-0herry Brandy.

To 40 galls. spirits, add : 2 oz. essential oil of bitter almonds, cut in i gall. 90f of alcohol. 10 lbs. sugar. Color with sugar coloring, dark, very dark. 6*
