462. "Vanilla Milk.

12 drops of essence of vanilla.

1 ounce oflump sugar. Pulverize and add gradually 1 pint ofnew milk.

463. VankeĀ© Pimcli. Macerate 3 ounces of sliced pineapple,6 grainsofvaniUa, 1 grain of ambergris(rubbed witb a little sugar)in 1 pint ofthe strongest pale brandyfor a few hours,being careful to shake it frequently during that time (see No.5); then strain through a jelly bag, squeezing the bag so as to get all the liquid, and add of lemon juice 1 pint, 1 bottle of lemon syrup, 1 bottle of claret or port wine,and ^ lb. of sugar dissolved in 1^ pint of boiling water.
