dissolved in the acetic ether. Dissolve the honey in the water, and then add all of the articles to the spirit. If this should appear somewhat cloudy or heavy in color, fine with two ounces each of alum and potash, dried by the heat of the fire sufficiently to admit of being finely powdered. The above is really a fine gin, and cheaply made, of a fine body and luscious taste. The gin used should be free from all disagreeable tastes.
