(Elixir ofJuniper.) 1^ lb. of juniper berries, groun.d; macerate for 8 days with 3^ gallons of alcoltol, 95 per cent., and 2 gallons of water; j^ress, strain, and filter; add gallons of white plain syrup. 191. Elixir of Long Life.

2 ounces ofZedoary root. 2 do. agaric. 2 do. gentian root. 2 do. Venetian fheriak. 2 do. Turkey rhubarb. 2 do. angelica root. 4 do. ginger.

Elixir de Neroly, 2 ounces of myrrh,ground; macerate for 8 days in 3f • gallons of alcohol, 95 per cent.; add 97 drops of oil of neroly; mix it with 20 lbs. of sugar dissolved in 5 gallons of water. Filter. (See No. 3.) Ground; macerate for 2 weeks with 4^ gallons of alco hol, 95 per cent, (see No. 5); then add 5x gallons t)f water. Filter. (See No.3.)
