pound the ingredients digest for one month ;

strain with pressure,

add the wine in seven days ;

and filter.

— Orange-peel, 8 oz. ;

Brandy Bitters.

carda-

moms, 1 oz.

cinnamon, 1 oz.

essence of cochineal,

2 drops brandy, 1 gallon ; digest for a month, strain with pressure, and filter. Brandy Bitters , No. 2. — Digest in 1 quart of brandy, 3 oz. sliced gentian root, 3 oz. dried orange- peel, 1 oz. of cinnamon (bruised), 3 cloves, for one month ; strain clear. — Eaisins, lib.; bruised cinnamon, 3 oz. ; ; gentian root, 6 oz. ; Bitters.
