207. Hot Spiced H/um.

(Use 6ma]l bar glaea.)

1 teaspoonful of sugar. 1 wine-glass of Jamaica rum. 1 teaspoonful of mixed spices, (allsj)ice and cloves.) 1 piece of butter as large as half of a chestnut Fill tumbler with hot water. 208. Hot Rum. (Usesmall bar glass.) . ^ This drink is made the same as the hotspiced rum,omit ting the spices, and grating a httle nutmeg on top.

209. Stone Fence.

(Ubo large bar glMs.) 1 wiue-gidss of whiskey(Bourbon). 2 or 3 small tumps of ice. Fhl up the glass with sweet cider.

210. Absinthe. (Ubo small bar glass.)

1 wine-glass of absmthe. Pour water,drop bydrop,untU the glass is full Nevei use a spoon. 211. Rhine Wine and Seltzer-Water. (Use Itti^e bar glass.) Fill large bar glass half full with Rhine wine, and fiL balance with Seltzer-water. This is a German drink, and IS not very hkely to be caUed for at an American bar.
