275. SYRUPS, TIUCTURES, «&c.

Tlis foflo-wing preparations consist of ingredients used in the preceding recipes for making Prepai-ed Punches:

276. Plain Syrup.

Take 6|pounds loaf sugar. J gallon water. The white of 1 egg. Bod until dissolved, and filter through flannel.

277. Gum Sjrrup.

Take 14 poundsloaf sugar. 1 gallon water. Bod together for five minutes, and add water to make up to 2 gallons.

278. Lemon Syrup.

Take 5 gallons gum syiaip. 4 ounces tartaaic acid. 1 do. oil of lemon. 1 pint alcohol.
