MANHATTAN MILK PnNCH.
2 gaUoHs Bourbon ■wbiskey. 1 do. raspbeny syruj). 7 do. Tvater.
Scald tbe almonds and peel tbem, then mash them, and rub them well with the plain syrup and spices. Boil the whole for about five minutes in the water, and when cool, sti-ain thi-ough a plain flannel filter. Then add the whiskey and raspberry sjtui^, mixing aU together thor oughly.
257. Kirsch.-wasser Punch.
Take 7 gallons plain syrup. 1| do. lemon juice. 5 do. kirschwasser.
Mix them thoroughly and sti-ain through canton flannel. Instead of the lemon juice, ^ a pint of essence of lemon may be used, prepared according to receipt No. 279.

Take 7 lemons. 7 oranges.
1pint spiiits (70 j)er cent). 3 do. mm.
3 do. brandy. 2 quarts rnflk. 3 do. water. 1 do. gum sjmp. 1nutmeg, gi-ated.
