268. Brandy Cocktail for Bottling'.

Take 5 gallons sti-ong brandy. 2 do. •water.

1 quart Stougbton's Bitters. 1 do. gum syrup. 1 bottle Cm'a9oa. Mix tborougbly,and filter tkrougb Canton flanneL

269. Brandy Cocktailfor Bottling.

Take 5 gallons spirits(70 per cent.) 2 do. •water. 1 quai't gum syrup.

^ pint essence of Cognac. 1 ouncetincture of cloves. 1 do. do. gentian. 2 do. do. orange peek J do. do. Cardamoms. ^ do. do. liquorice root.

Mix the essence and tinctm-cs •with a portion of the spirits; add the remainder of the ingi-edients, and color •with a sufficient quantity of solferino and caramel (in equal parts)to give the desu-ed color.

270. Gin Cocktailfor Bottling.

Take 5 gallons gin.

2 do. water. 1 quart gum synip.
