COQUETTE FLATTEUSE.

91. Color, Yellow. Mix i llx American .s.affron, ent very fine, with 1 quart of aloohol, 95 per cent.; put it in a covered jar, in a warm place, and let it stand for 8 days; then 2)ress, filter, and bottle for use. A yellow coloring may also be made of turmeric i istead of saflfron. Observe thesame ^proportions, and make in the same way. 92. Color, Purple. Mix J'b. elderberries,mashed to a pulp,with 1 quart of of alcohf 95 per cent. Macerate (see Ko.5)in a warm place foj 3 days; then press, filter, and bottle for use.

93. Color, Bed. 1 ornce offinely-powdered cochineal. I drachm ofcalcinated alum.

94. Color, Violet.

95. Coquette Flatteuse.

f I drops ofoil ofrose. 4 5 do. oil of mace. 5{ do. essence of ambergris.

I issolve in 3 gallons of alcohol, 95 per cent.; then add SI rup made of 42 lbs. of sugar and 4} gallons of watei (see No. 7). Color rose (see No.93). a
