The object and design ofthis invention is to provide a ready and convenient method ofDISPLAYING Articles of Value, Objects of Vertu, Works ofArt, Valuable China, Collections of Coins,Cameos, Antiquities, Jewellery, Trinkets, Articles that would suffer deterioration by permanent contact with the atmosphere, Cigars, S:c., &c.,and at the same time to afford a safe and secure receptacle against accidental damage and against thefL^^^ Tadle may be thus briefly described. Itis an ordinarycircular tripod table with substantial wheel-castors, to admit of its being freel>^ moved in any direction. Upon the surface ofthe Table is fitted the case or receptacle, which may be ofany depth, to suit the kind ofgoods to be contained therein, and which is covered in with thick plate glass. This case is made to revolve at will by the action ofa leverin such a manner that, while the plate glass covering is stationary, the internal case and the articles therein are caused to rotate so as readily to bring any particular article under the gaze ofthecustomer orspectator. The plateglass covering isfitted with an automaticslide,coveringan aperture whmh admits of access to the interior of the cabinet, and, by means of a lever before mentioned,any part of the interior of the case can be immediately brought under this aperture to allow of the withdrawal ofany article. The slide is fitted with a spring lock, which effectually closes it, and prevents the interior being tampered with or touched. The advantages to be derived from the use ofthis Cabinet Table are— 1.—The absolute security from injury or theft ofthe articles placed therein. 2.—The facility with which any article can be brought under the notice of a customer,and withdrawn from or replaced in the cabinet. 3.—^The ease with which the Cabinet Table can be wheeled from one part of a room or shop to another part. —Theprotection afforded tothe contents against adverse atmosphericinfluences FOR HOTEL KEEPERS,RESTAURANTS, AND CIGAR MERCHANTS ThisCabinet Table will be found specially valuable as a Cigar Cabinet. Being divided into internal compartments ofsuitable sizes available for the reception ofcigars of various brands,it affords a comprehensive view of the contents, and,at the same time, the brand selected can be instantly brought under the aperture and withdrawn from the case,which, when closed,affords complete security of the contents. To Hotel-keepersit will be found especially valuable for use^in the Coffee Room by affording the customer an opportunityof seeing and selecting for himselfthe kind ofcigar he wants,and that,too, without moving from his seat. FOR JEWELLERS, As a case for the exhibition of Watches,Jewels, and Trinkets,it is superior to any other method for ensuring absolute safety, with,at the same time,a perfect view of, and control over, the contents. As an adjunct to the Drawing-room or Llbraiy—for the preservation of Bric-h-Brac, Articles ofVertu, China,Collections ofGems,Specimens of Natural History,&c.,&c., it possesses a combination ofadvanta.^es. It is a handsome article offurniture and can be madeofanysize and style,and ofany kind of wood.
