WAHOO BEER.

^ oz. wild cherry bark. J '' hops. 3 qts. molasses.

Pour boiling water on the above and let stand twenty- four hours ; strain and add half pint yeast. It will be ready in twenty-four hours.

Spruce Beer.

2oz. hops. 2 '' chips of the sassafras root. 10 gallons water. Boil 20 minutes ; strain and pourin while hot1 gallon molasses. 2table-spoons essence of spruce. 2 " U K 1 " " "ground allspice. Put it in a keg,and when cold add 1 quart yeast;after standing 24 hours draw it oif or bottle it.
