168. 3ol)n Collins. A large glass with the juice of half a lemon, a spoonful of sugar, a full drink of Holland gin. Mix this well; add two or three lumps of ice; fill your glass up with Seltzer, while you stir.

169. Stye Kaleidoscope.

A mixing-glass with some cracked ice, i pony of absinthe,

i pony of vino vermouth, 3 dashes of maraschino, 3 dashes of benedictine, 3 dashes of curagao, 3 dashes of creme de cocoa. Shake to the freezing-point; strain into a fine wineglass, and serve. 170. &l)e Knickerbocker. The juice of half a lime or lemon in a glass, 3 dashes of raspberry syrup, i wineglassful of Jamaica rum,

i dash of curagao, a little cracked ice. Stir this well; strain, and serve in a fancy glass.

A

large glass,

a squirt of Seltzer, a spoonful of fine sugar,

fill a wineglass half full with sherry and the other half with port wine,

dash of brandy;

mix this well. Fill your glass with shaved ice; ornament with orange and pineapple, and top it off with ice-cream; serve with a spoon.
