LAWS OF POKER. Though the Schenk rules a re g ood, bhey r equire ampli– fication, and to m eet a ne w g enera t ion of pla yer s •the fol– lowing laws, which a re the la test, a re presented : DEALING. 1. One ca rd is thrown face up 1to each pla y er. The lowest card rleals. The ace is .the lowest, the king is the h~g·hest. 2. Cards are s huffled in sigh't. Every player has a rignt to shuffle. The d ealer shuffles last. 3. The pla yer to •the right of th e deale r c uts. 4. One -card a t a time is given to each play er, beg inning at tihe left. 5. The deal goes to the lef.t. 6. A pack wit!~ a -faced card, when dea,lt, r equires a n e w · deal by the sam e dea ler. Cards are r eshuffled and cut as before. 7. When a card is faced in dealing, this turning of th e card being due .to th e dealer, or a ny other pla yer, whe ther by accident or not, the ·pla yer must receive the cal"d. 8. If two cards are exposed Jn the sa me wa y, as de– s c1ibed in Rule 7, ·~here must ·be a n e w deal. 9. If the deale r .gives a pla y er s ix cards or four cards, e>r more or less tha n ·five, a n e w deal is in order. lt is a mis-deal. If all t1rn ipla y ers receive Six ask ed for is given . Once ca rds are thrown a wa y they can– not be handled until the n ext deal. 12. Pl.ayer s ca nnot ask others wha t is bh e discard as to number , either before or after the d raw.
