MIXED DRINKS.
It appears reasonable that as to the manner in which the final collection of the distillates in the receivers governs the maturation that to the foreshots, or a portion of them, is attributable to the quality of rapid maturation and production of a fine aroma, whilst to the tailings he attributes the characteristics of those strong, persistent fiavors which can only he partially eliminated by long storage at low strengths and low temperatures. Some distillers, whilst careful in their final distillation to run all the foreshots into the feints receiver, yet maintain the collection of fine spirits too long, until, in fact, they cause strong feints to collect with them.
