- 134. Eau de Cerises. Take 9 bushels of black cherries, without stems, and make a pulp of them; break 2 handfuls of cherry stones; put this pulp in a large cask, and let it ferment for 2 or 3 months; keep off the air by a good fixed cover, and add water sufficient to prevent its burning when dis tilled; then distil over to the strength of 55 per cent (10 above proof), and fill it in demijohns or bottles. 135. Eau de Chasseurs. 145 drops of oil of peppermint. 48 do. oil of mace. Dissolve^d in 3 gallons of alcohol, 95 per cent; then add 8 lbs. of sugar dissolved in 6V2 gallons of water, niter. 136. Eau de Cologne, pure. 21 ounces of oil of orange. 21 do. oil of bergamot. 2§/s do. oil of neroly. 63 drops of oil of roses. 126 do. oil of cloves. Dissolve in 10 gallons of alcohol, 95 per cent. 137. Eau de Cologne, a I'Ambregris. 21 ounces of oil of orange. 21 do. oil of bergamot. 2 5-8 do. oil of neroly. 6 9-16 do. oil of lavender. 3 15-16 do. oil of rosemary.
