6^3 gallons of white plain syrup, filter, and color yel low. 171. Esplrit de Manuel. 100 drops of oil of peppermint. 59 (Jo. do. cloves. Dissolve in gallons of alcohol, 95 per cent; add 6-/3 gallons of white plain syrup;' color green with saff ron and indigo. 172. Essence of Ginger. 2 lbs of ground ginger. 6 gallons of alcohol,95 per cent. 4 do. water. Macerate for two weeks; strain and filter. 173. Essence of Lemon 2 ounces of oil of lemon dissolved in six gallons of alcohol,95 per cent; add 4 gallonsof water; filter; color yellow. 174. Essence of Peppermint, 2 ounces of oil of peppermint dissolved in 6 gallons of alcohol, 95 per cent; add 4 gallons of water; color with tincture of turmeric. Filter. 175. Essence of Wintergreen. 2 ounces of oil of wintergreen dissolved in 6 gallons of alcohol, 95 per cent; add 4 gallons of water; color red with tincture of sanders wood; filter.
