Take 7 pounds Gold Medal flour, 1 ounce com- pressed yeast, Y pound Indian rneal, 1 ounce sait, 4 ounces butter, 2 ounces sugar; first scald meal witli 1 quart boiling water ; when cold, mix in ail the other ingrédients; add in railk sufficient to form a slack dough ; be sure to mix well. Put in bread pans, let rise, and bake in medium-heated oven about 35 minutes. Tea Biscuits. Take 3 pounds Gold Medal flour, Y pound but­ ter, 3 ounces baking powder, 1 ounce sait; mix light with 1 quart sweet milk. Cut out aud bake imme- diately. Sweet Muffins (a la Lookout Mountain.) Y\ pouud sugar, '/> pound butter, 10 eggs, pounds Gold Medal flour, 1 pint milk, 1 ounce bak­ ing powder; work up butter aud sugar to cream, then add eggs, milk, flour, and baking powder. Mix well, and divide into 30 muffin pans.
