Place two pounds of ground cinnamon into a jar, with one gallon ninety-five percent alcohol, closely covered; at the encl of eight clays strain the liquor clear; wash the sediment with one quart proof spir– its; strain it; mix the two liquors together, and filter through blotting paper.
