MEDFORD RUM SMASH. (Use la rge bar glass .) r teaspoonful powdered suga r, di ssolved in a little water. 2 or 3 sprigs mint, pressed to extract the essence. ~ glass shaved ice. r wine-glass Medford rum. Stir w~ll; strain; dress with fruit; replacii1g mint leaves upward, and serve. WHISKY SMASH. (Use large bar glass.) 2 teaspoonfuls powdered sugar. 2 or 3 sprigs mint, p r essed to extract essence; as in a julep. ~ glass with shaved ice. 1 wine-glass whisky. Stir well; strain into a fanc y or sour glass; dress with a little fruit, berries , etc . Serve. Fill glass U full shaved ice. 2 teaspoonfuls sugar in a little water 2 or 3 dashes lemon or lime juice. I wine-glass old apple jack. . Stir well; strain into a sour glass; dre~~ with fruit and serve. BRANDY SOUR. (Use large bar glass .) Fill glass .with shaved ice. 2 teaspoonfuls powdered sugar. APPLE JACK SOUR. (Use large bar glass .)
