Strain and mix in two pints more of rum, one pint of brandy, one pint of sherry, half a pint of lemon juice, the expressed juice of a peeled pine-apple, one pint of green tea, one pound of sugar dissolved in one quart of boiling water, the whites of two eggs beaten up, one quart of boiling milk. Mix well, let it cool, strain through a jelly-bag, and drink, or bottle off. Restorative Punch. [This is another Oxford recipe, and used to be the favourite potion of the embryo Gladstones and Roseberies, before proceeding to discuss the affairs of the nation at the "LTnion."
