Derby Cocktail. [I his drink, arranged by E. G. De Gasteaux, of Canal and Vine Streets, Cincinnati, O., was awarded third prize in the Poj.ice Gazette Bartenders' Con test for 1903.] Use mixing glass. 1 wo dashes Pencil and Bitters. One sprig fresh mint. One jigger Gordon gin. •Stir and strain into cocktail glass, serve with olive. Ping Pong Cocktail. [ I iiis recipe, arranged by James E. Bennett, of the Broken Heart Cafe, 16 South Broadway, St. Louis, Mo., won the Police Gazette Bartenders' Medal for 1903.] Use mixing glass. Three dashes lemon juice. One-half jigger sloe gin. One-half jigger Cream-Yvette. Fill glass with fine ice, mix and strain in cock tail glass, add cherry. (Do not get too sweet.)

Automobile Cocktail. Two dashes gnni.

Two dashes of Orange Bitters. Equal proportions (one-third) of Italian Ver mouth, Scotch whiskey and Old Tom gin. Serve with a cherry, or an olive, as desired.
