WHISKEY COBBLER^

Put two dashes of Grenadine, The juice of half a lemon, One teaspoonful of sugar,and One-half a bar-glass of Rye whiskeyin a high-ball glass. Fill the glass with ice; shake well, ornament with fruit and a sprig of mint, and serve with straws.

WHISKEY TODDY, COLD<^

Take the juice of half a lemon, _ One teaspoonful of sugar,and

One-half a bar-glass of whiskey. • Fill the mixing-glass two-thirds full of shaved ice; stir well and strain into a star-glass. Fill with soda,and add a slice of lemon and orange. WHISKEY RICKEY^ Take one-half a bar-glass of Rye whiskey, and The juice of a whole lime. Put in a star-glass with a good-sized piece of ice,and add half of the lime itself. Fill the glass with soda and stir only when ready to serve.

Take the juice of half alemon,and One-half a bar-glass of Rye whiskey. Fill the mixing-glass with shaved ice; shake well and strain into a star-glass. Fill with soda.
