Beef Tea.

Into a cup or mug, previously warmed, put

one teaspoonful extract of beef one tablespoonful boiling water dash of salt and pepper;

stir well, then fill with hot water. A sprinkle of the new onion salt, now on the market, improves the flavor.

94 Brandy Toddy.

Put into a toddy glass one teaspoonful bar sugar about one measure hot water; when sugar is dissolved add

one measure brandy one thin slice lemon hot water to fill.
