227. Saratoga Cocktail. I teaspoonful of Pineapple Syrup, 2 dashes Orange Bitters, 2 dashes Maraschino, i glass of Brandy. Shake well and strain into wineglass willi 2 Strawberries, and fill balance with Champagne. 228. "75 "Cocktail. I teaspoonful Grenadine, 2 dashes of Absinthe or Anis-del-Oso, f Calvados, J Gin. Shake well and strain into cocktail glass. (This cocktail was very popular in France during the war, and named after the French light field gun.) 229. Side-Car Cocktail. J Cointreau (Triple see), J Brandy, J Lemon Juice. (Recipe by MacGarry, the popular bar-tender at Buck's Club, London.) 230. Silver Cocktail. No. 1. 1 white of Fresh Egg, i teasp.oonful Orgeat Syrup, 2 dashes of Maraschino, 1 dash of Orange Bitters, ^ French Vermouth, J Gordon Gin. (Recipe from Pat O'Brien, Knickerbocker Hotel, New York.) 231. Silver Cocktail. No. 2. 2 dashes Gomme Syrup, 2 dashes Orange Bitters, 3 dashes Maraschino, i French Vermouth, ^ Gin.
