108. BRANDY SOUR

(Use small bar-glass) Take i large teaspoonful of powdered white sugar, dissolved in a little Apollinaris or Seltzer water The juice of half a lemon I dash of Curagoa I wine-glass of Brandy Fill the glass with shaved ice, shake, and strain into a claret glass. Ornament with orange and berries. (Use small bar-glass) Take i teaspoonful of powdered white sugar 3 dashes of lemon juice I pony of Curagoa I pony of brandy 1 egg 2 or 3 small lumps of ice Shake up well, and remove the ice before serving. 109. (Use medium bar-glass) Take i large teaspoonful of fine white sugar dis solved in a little boiling hot water I wine-glass of cider brandy (apple jack) of a baked apple Fill the glass two-thirds full of boiling water, stir up and grate a little nutmeg on top. Serve with a spoon.
