Another recipe
One ounce of tincture of gentian. Two ounces of tincture of or ange peel. One-fourth ounce of tinc ture of cardamoms. One-half ounce of tincture of licorice root.
Take five gallons of spirits (70 per cent). Two gallons of water. One quart of gum syrup. One-fourth pint of essence of Cognac. One ounce of tincture of cloves.
