Here's to a bird, a bottle and an open-work stocking. There's nothing in this that's so very shocking. The bird came from Jersey, the bottle from France. The open-work stocking was seen at a dance. Here's to our wives; they are like cider– the longer you leave them standing around, the more of a kick you get.

Here's to Prohibition; hippy days!

Here's to a long life, and may you live a thousand years and I a thousand years less one day, for I would not care to live after you had passed away. 90
