42. Thirty-Second Regiment Punch (For a party of twenty) @

6 lemons, in slices. ~ gallon of brandy. Yz do. 1 lb. of white sugar. 1 y,! quarts of water. 1 pint of boiling milk.

] amaica rum.

Steep the lemons for twenty-four hours in the brandv and rum; add the sugar, water and milk, and when weil mixed, strain through a jelly-bag. This punch may be bottled, and used afterward hot or cold. Half the above quantity, or even less, may be made as this recipe is for a party of twenty. @ This delicious punch is compounded as follows: 5 bottles of Pop-Pi-Ya wine_ oR CH i:tM PAG N r=: 1 quart of ] amaica rum. 1 pint of maraschino. 6 lemons, sliced. Sugar to taste. Mix the above ingredients in a large punch-bowl, then place in the center of the bowl a large square block of ice, ornamented on top with rock candy, loaf-sugar, sliced lemons or oranges, and fruits in season.
