JACKS MANUAL
May you live as long as you like, And have all you like as long as you live.
I drink it as the Fates ordain it. Come, fill it and have done with the rhymes; Fill up the lonely glass and drain it, In memory of dear old times.
Here's to a long life and a merry one, A quick death and an easy one,
A pretty girl and a true one, A cold bottle and another one.
Sparkling and bright in the liquid light Does the wine of our goblets gleam in. With hue as red as the rosy bed Which a bee would choose to dream in.
