1946 The Roving Bartender by Bill Kelly

THE ROVING BARTENDER

PORTLAND

There was a saloon in Portland years ago that had three entrances. A drunken bum came in one cold night and sat down by the big stove and went to sleep. The bar tender woke him and chased him out; in a few minutes he came in another door, sat down and was asleep in no time. Again the bartender gave him the bum's rush. When he came in the third entrance, the bartender was ready for him, but he beat the bartender to it. He said, "Hell! Do you own all the places in this town?" You heard about the bartender that married a white woman?
