Ground; macer.ate for 8 days Avith 4 gallons of alcohol', 95 per cent., and 3^ gallons of water (see N^o. 5); add 2^ gallons of white plain syrup. Filter. (See FTos. 3 and 7.)

319. Rosa Bianca. (White Rose.)

40 drops ofoil ofroses. 65 do. tincture ofmusk.

Dissolved in 3 gallons of alcohol, 95 per cent.; add 20 lbs. ofsugar dissolved in 5J gallons of water. Filter.

320. Rose Rouge. (Red Rose.)

40 droj)s of oil of roses. 40 do. tincture of musk. 24 do. oil of orange.

Dissolved in 3 g.allons of alcohol, 95 per cent., and add 20 lbs. ofsugar dissolved in 5J gallons of water, and color rose. (See No.93.) Filter. (See No. 3.)

2 drachms ofessence of vanilla. 13 drops of oil of roses. 57 do. essence ofamber.
