The chief, and most general imposition practised, is the substitution and sale of British Tent ; a compound, manufactured by the Rectifiers, and as unlike the foreign (which is from the juice of a grape), in flavor and beneficial quality, as can well be imagined in two things intended to re- semble each other. By those cheap sellers, who, may be supposed to possess a larger share of con- science, Cape Tent is substituted, or the foreign and genuine Wine occasionally disposed of, in a mixed state only.
