Ground to coarse powder; macerate with 4-J- gallons of alcohol, 95 per cent.,for two weeks, or displace (see Nob. 4 and 5); add lbs. of bro^vn sugar, boiled,and clarified with 51 gallons of water (see No.6); color it with 71 ounces of sugar coioring, dark brown. (See No. 88.) Filter. If lb. of orange peel. If lb. of orange apples. If lb. of gentian root. If lb. of lemon peel.
