The " Cocktail " ia a modem invention, and is generally nsed on fishing and otlïer sporting parties, although some patients insist that it is good in the morning as a tonio. The " Orusta" is an improvemcnt on the " Cocktail," and ia said to bave been invented by Santina^ a celebrated Spanish caterer. To make a splendid bottle of brandy cocktail, use the followiDg ingrédients : I brandy. i water. % 1 pony-glass of Bogart's bitters. The author bas always used this recipe in compounding the above beverage for connoisseurs. "Whiskey and gin cocktails, in bottles, may be made by nsing tho above recipe, and substituting those liquors instead of brandy. 3 106. Bottle Cocktail, 1 wine-glass of guni syrup.
