222, Lemonade.

(ITsâlarge bar glose.)

The jiûce of haîf a lemon. Il' table-spoonful of sugar. 2 or three pièces of orange. 1 table-spoonful of raspberry or strawbeny syrup. Fin the tumbler one-balf fuJl with shaved ice, the bal ance with water ; dash with port Tsdne, and omament with fruits în season. (From s recipe by the celebnited Soyer.) Cut în very thin sllces 3 lemons, put them in a basm^ add half a pound of sugar, cither white or brown ; bnrise ail together, add a gallon of water, and etir well, It ia then ready. 223. Plain Lemonade.

(Fine for parties.)

L'hc rind of 2 lemons. Juice of 3 large do. AIb, of loaf-sugar. 1 quart of boiling water. Rub some of the sugar, in lumps, on two of the lemons
