PLAIN LEMONADE.

Gin and Wormwood.

(Use small bar-glass.)

Pat five or six sprigs of wormwood into a quart de- canter, and fill up with gin. This is used in the rural districts as a sort of bitters, and is said to be a good tonic.

TEMPEKAJSTOE deletes.

Milk and Seltzer.

(Use large soda -glass.

Fill the glass half full of milk, and the remaining half with Seltzer water.

Saratoga Cooler.

(Use large bar-glass.)

Take 1 tea-spoonful of powdered white sugar. Juice of half a lemon. 1 bottle of ginger ale. 2 small lumps of ice. Stir well and remove the ice before serving.

Plain Lemonade.

(Use large bar-glass.)

Take the juice of half a large lemon. 1)4 table-spoonful of sugar. 2 or 3 pieces of orange.
