Ground to coarse powder; macerate with 4^ gallons of alcohol, 95 per pent., mixed with 5^ gallons of water; add ounces of acetic sether. Color brown. 28. Bitters, Orange. 6 lbs. of orange peel, macerate them for 24 hours with r gallon of water, cut the yellow part of the peel from off the white, and chop it fine; macerate with 4^ gal lons of alcohol, 95 per cent, for two weeks, or displace; then add a syrup made of 434^ of gallons of water and 16 lbs. of sugar. Filter. 29. Bitters, Spanish. 5 ounces of polypody.
