Soda Negus.

Use a small punch bowl.

1 pint of Port wine. 13lumps of loaf sugar. 8 cloves. Grated nutmeg sufficient to fill small tea-spoon ; put the above in gredients into a thoroughly clean saucepan, warm and stir them well, but do not allow it to boil; upon the warm wine empty a bottle of plain soda. This makes a delicious and refreshing drink. St. Croix Crusta. Use a large bar glass. Prepare rind of a lemon as in a Brandy Crusta, etc. 1 " "lemon juice. 3 " "Maraschino. 1 wine-glass of St. Croix rum. glass fine ice. Stir and strain into the wine-glass. Dress with bits of fruit, berries, and serve. 3or 4 dashes Orchard syrup. 1 dash of Angostura bitters.
