1 wine-glass Bourbon whisky or apple-jack, a or 3lumps of ice. Fill up with cider. Stir well, and serve.

A table-spoonful of sugar. 3 or 4 lumps of ice. 1 wine-glass of wliisky. 1 bottle plain soda. Stir up well witli a spoon,I'emove all the ice and serve.

Suydam.

Use a small bar

1 dash orange bitters. 1 " Angostura bitters.

Then hand the bottle of liquor out and let customer help himself. This is an appetizer.
