Whisky Julep. Use a large bar glass. % table-spoon sugar dissolved in ^ wine-glass water. 3or4sprigs mint,pressed to extract the essence. 1 wine-glass whisky. A dash of Jamaica rum. Stir well with spoon; arrange the mint witli steins downward. Dress witti fruit in season ;(some omit the fruit.) Serve with a straw. Whisky Sling (cold). Use a small bar glass. 1 tea-spoon sugar dissolved in half wine-glass water. ^ 1 or 3small lumps of ice. 1 wine-glass whisky. Stir well,and grate nutmeg on top, and serve.
Whisky Smash. Use a large bar glass.
Vi table-spoon sugar. 3or 3 sprigs mint, pressed to ex tract essence, as in a julep.
Vz glass with fine ice. 1 wine-glass whisky.
Stir well; strain into a fancy or sour glass ,* dress with a little fruit, berries,&c. Serve. 125
