Use a mixing glass.

Use two small bowls to prepare the batter in. Take as many fresh eggs as desired. Break the whites in one and the yolks in the other bowl. Take an egg beater and beat the whites to a stiff froth. Add enough powdered sugar gradually until it be comes a good stiff batter; then beat the yolks until thin as milk.
