Dissolve

2 pounds of sugar in I quart of water, strain, add

4 bottles Rhine wine. I pint arrack or rum. I pint Maraschino.

Stir well, let it rest for two hours, add one pint of champagne just be fore serving. RECEPTION BOWL. (Two Gallons) Put in a punch bowl with a piece of ice I pint of lemon juice. I pint of syrup. i pint of pineapple juice; I pint of abricotine. I pint of Jamaica rum. 3 quarts of port wine. 3 quarts of dry catawba. n Stir well, and serve in punch cups with fruit.
