Orangeade. Another Way.

To half a pint of orange juice add two quarts of boiling water and one pound of loaf sugar; when cold it is ready for use.

Dissolve one pound of loaf sugar in two- quarts of boiling water, add the rind and juice of six oranges ; let it stand till cold, then strain through a bag or sieve, and served Orange Drink. Slice four oranges and two lemons, without peeling, and put them into a pan, with half a pound of icing sugar; pour over them two quarts of boiling water, and when cold strain, and it is ready for use. Orange Drink. Another Way. Mix equal parts of orange wine and water, which will be found a very nice drink. Orgeat Water. Blanch half a pound of sweet almonds with one dozen bitter ones, pound them well to gether in a mortar, adding a little orange-flower water, two pints of water, and sugar to taste, mixing all together, afterwards straining; add rough ice, when it is ready for use.
