For a party of twenty

Three bottles oj champagne. One bottle of sauterne. One bottle oj pale sherry. One pineapple, sliced. One bottle oj Cognac. Four lemons,sliced. Sweeten to taste, mix in a punch bowl, cool with a large lump of ice, and serve immediately.
