(Spanish Blended Wine.) Made from the juice of white grapes, grown in the Jerez district. It is fortified with brandy, blended and aged in wood. (Scotland Spirit.) Most popular of grain spirits. Distilled from barley and malt. (Danzig Liqueur.) Very sweet, fairly colourless, tvith flakes ofsilver. Flavoured with aniseed and orange. (Hungary Spirit.) Distilled from plums. (English Liqueur.) Based on gin and flavoured with Sloe berries. (Italian Liqueur.) Golden in colour. Not too sweet. Slight flavour oforange. Appliance designed for distillation. As all the alcoholic liquids used contain a large percentage of water, the still combined with its heat separates the alcohol from the water. (French Aperitif Wine.)Base ofwhite wine with slight flavour ofquinine.
