Even the mildest of cocktail parties needs a certain amount of"blotting paper", but unless you are a chicken breeder it is not advisable to give your guests food which requires both hands, somewhere to take it and a lot of eating, because it interferes with their conversations, their drinking and their happy equilibrium—^which will all add up to a lot ofwaste—but very happy chickens.
