Martini (Original Recipe) 1/2 Dry Gin. 1/2 Dry Vermouth.

Manhattan

2/3 Rye Whisky 1/3 Sweet Vermouth. Dash of Angostura Bitters. Stir and Strain. Add Cherry.

The Dry Martini has de veloped from this recipe until to-day, in England, the recipe is generally accepted as 2/3 Dry Gin, 1/3 Dry Vermouth with a dash of orange bitters and a twist of lemon peel added. In America the trend for the Dry Martini to be come drier has developed almost to a fad and the quantity of Dry Gin to Dry Vermouth varies from 3to I to 6 to 1. Other variations of the Martini are:— 1/6 Dry Vermouth. 1/6 Sweet Vermouth. Stir and Strain. Martini—Sweet: 2/3 Gin. 1/3 Sweet Vermouth. Stir and Strain. Add Cherry. Martini—Medium: 2/3 Dry Gin.

Manhattan (Dry) Use Dry Vermouth instead of Sweet.

Manhattan (Medium) Use I/6 Dry, 1/6 Sweet Vermouth.

Maple Leaf •1/2 glass Bourbon Whiskey. Juice of 1/2 Lemon. 1 teaspoonful Maple Syrup. Shake and Strain.

Margaret Rose 1/3 Gin.

1/3 Calvados. 1/6 Cointreau.

1/6 Lemon Juice. 1 Dash Grenadine. Shake and Strain.
