J a.ma.ica n:im, 5 oz. powdered catechu, 1 qt. white wine vinegar, i oz. orris root, 1 do: cassia buds (ground), 2 oz. cream of tartar, 3 lbs. loaf sugar. Color as directed in No. 2. Stand 10 days, and draw it off.
