STONE FENCE.

Shandy OLC . {Use large bar-glass, or rnug ) Fill the glass half full of A l e, and the remaii~ half with Irish ginger ale. In England, where this drink had. its 'origia, it is made with Bass' ale, and ginger ale, half an6 half. I

" Arf and Ar f "

{Use metal or stone bar-mng.)

Mix porter or Stout, with Ale in equal qunntities, or in proportions. to suit the taste. This is the English method, and usually, "draw it mild, Mary, the ale 6rst."

Rock and Rye. (Use small bar-glass.) Take 1 table-spoonful of rock-candy syrup. 1 wine glass of Loch Dhu whisky. Stir them together thoroughly, and serve. This is often prescribed. for a cold.

Btone Fence. {Use large bar-glass.)

Take 1 w i n e - glass of K i r k e r O r e e r's Shamrock whisky.

2 or 8 small lumps of ice.

Fill up the glass with sweet cider.
